Character summary: A young chef's apprentice from Nagoya, Japan. His modest life ambitions of spreading happiness through chawanmushi were interrupted by a worldwide alien invasion and the subsequent demon-infested collapse of society. After being taken on as a civilian adjunct to the government agency specialising in supernatural phenomena, he fights to stave off the true end of the world in hope of peace. Not the sharpest machete in the apocalypse, but always straightforward and sincere.
Appearance: Relatively tall (182 cm), wiry build. Black hair, unkempt and almost always covered by a hat. Grey, narrow eyes. His default expression is surly. His default demeanour, in contrast, is soft-spoken to the point of childlike.
